A Case of Anxiety

A 19 yrs old boy from Ranikhet presented on November 11,2013 with symptoms of depressive mood disorder, after a loss in college body elections. Patient is a college student and attempted to face an election for college student’s body but failed 3 months back. Now he is unable to face colleagues and other people around him. He said he was defeated in an unjustified manner and manipulated against him. Feel insulted. Want not to meet anyone and to seek aloneness he gone somewhere from home for a time. Very anxious and desperate. Brooding. He said he thinks about his election all the time. Very hurried and anxious. Spells of anger and irritability with family members. Sad, gloomy, ill tempered over trifles, fretful. Sometimes want to weep. Unable to make right decisions, even he says I feel I am unable to decide anything, want of confidence. Wavering in decisions constantly, sometimes want to do this and at other time want to do opposite. Forgetful and unable to concentrate.

Perspiring profusely, on walking. Palpitations. Sweating on head, face and cervical regions is visible. Has painful eruptions on head. Warts on face, cervical region, back with itching.

Desire to eat salt very much. Thirst, sleep and other systems are not detected any abnormality.    

Patient has lost his father at younger age.

Natrum Mur  1M 3 doses prescribed to take with interval of 30 minutes.
Sac lac prescribed for a 3 weeks.

December 9, 2013

Patient reported with relaxed and eased clinical features. His thoughts about his failure in elections are vanished. Feel happy and calm. No constant thoughts of painful experiences.
Earlier he felt he was in hurry all the time but now patient is relaxed and able to concentrate on his different tasks. All the painful eruptions on head healed. But yet he feels very low and lack of self-esteem.

Many acute clinical features are subsided but yet many of the symptoms are remaining. New repertorization chart is prepared by deleting few rubrics from last repertorization chart. Rubrics which are deleted, based on symptoms that are subsided now. 25 rubrics selected now.

Prescription on December 9, 2013

Many acute symptoms of anxiety are subsided but patient’s basic trait of low level of self confidence and low self esteem which always dominate his personality needs to e address now.

Thuja Occidentalis  1M 3 doses prescribed to take with interval of 30 minutes.

Sac Lac prescribed for 3 weeks.

January 6, 2014

Patient reported with much more reduction in anxiety. Now he feels very less mental stress. His low self-esteem is a bit improved. Warts start to reduce. But sometimes again remembers his defeat in elections and then become anxious for a little time. Forgetfulness a bit increased. Acute symptoms seems to be increased a bit again.

Prescription on January 6, 2014

Natrum Mur 1M 3 doses prescribed to take with interval of 30 minutes. 
Sac Lac prescribed for 3 weeks.

February 4, 2014

Warts improved a lot much but yet present. Acute symptoms of anxiety are reduced but still present. Forgetfulness same. Patient seems stuck on the path of recovery. Many symptoms seems a bit improved.

Prescription on February 4, 2014

Sac Lac prescribed for next 3 weeks. No medicine was given.

March 5, 2014

Patient consulted with much worse symptoms. Eruptions on scalp with pain and itching.
Poor concentration. Anything bad happened in day remains persistent in thoughts for a long time. Warts again increasing in size.

Repertorization Chart

Same repertorization chart is used without any changes. Natrum Mur and Thuja both helped the case but partially. Both medicines were partial similar to case.

Prescription on March 5, 2014

Calc Carb  1M      3 doses prescribed to take with interval of 30 minutes. 
Sac Lac prescribed for 3 weeks.


April 25, 2014

All the symptoms of stress, anxiety, sadness, irritability, hurried nature, poor concentration,
weeping mood, hopelessness, brooding cured. Patient is happy and charming. Patient has confidence to make right decisions without wavering. Hairs falling come under normal range. Many warts are vanished. A fade mark of few warts is remained behind.

Prescription on April 25, 2014

Sac Lac is prescribed for 2 weeks and advised to discontinue the medicine after that.
